Welcome to Whisper Sweet Joy. This blog is going to be my Diary of all the weird activities I do craft, food, and what ever. This also will be where I post about my rats and my Etsy shop.

I will post tutorials for some of my critters or at least where I found them. I hope this will give you the inspiration to go and create your own fun, or as I call it "My Productive Boredom"

Crochet Terms

A first time Crocheter will look at a pattern and go "what in the crap are they saying here", I know I did. It is a foreign language you just don't get to get college credit credit for learning it. What you do get is really cute critters, blankets and whatever else you want to make. Here is a list of terms that will be useful to you.

This contains both American and British Crochet term. If you see Treble in the pattern you have it is using British terms for the stitches, don't let it confuse you. These are just the basic stitches, if a pattern have very specific stitches most will tell you at the beginning of the pattern what the abbreviation is.
